CYC Motor Photon is a compact mid-drive system designed to convert almost any bicycle into an electric bike. Nearly silent, lightweight, and technologically advanced.
An excellent choice for hardtail mountain bikes, trekking bikes, gravel bikes, or city bikes. It also works well with full-suspension bikes, especially when used for touring.
What’s included in the kit
Apart from the battery, you don’t need anything else to convert your bike into an e-bike.
- Motor module with gearbox and right crank arm, featuring integrated torque and temperature sensors
- Left bottom bracket part (3 types depending on your bike’s bottom bracket: BSA 68–83, BSA 100 mm = BB92, BSA 120 mm); for compatibility with BB92 pressfit, an extra “BB92 to BSA” adapter is included
- ISIS bottom bracket spindle with spacer set including a locking o-ring (3 lengths depending on compatibility)
- Bike drive sprocket (4 sizes to choose from: 34T, 38T, 42T, 50T)
- Left and right crank arms (available in 175 mm and 165 mm) with bolts for the spindle
- Cable harness running from motor to handlebar area
- Display with control buttons (2 types available: SW102, DS103)
- Throttle (3 types to choose from: thumb, half-twist, full-twist)
- Speed sensor with built-in Bluetooth module for mobile app connection
- Wheel magnet for the speed sensor

The basic configuration of the CYC Motor Photon kit includes:
- Threaded BSA 68–83 mm bottom bracket with a matched 180 mm spindle and compatible left bottom bracket part
- 38T chainring
- SW102 display
- 175 mm crank arms
- Thumb throttle
At no additional cost, you may request a swap to 165 mm crank arms or a 42T chainring. Contact us first to check availability in stock.
The store also offers kits in other mixed configurations:
- Compatible with BB92 pressfit bottom brackets
- Compatible with BSA 100 mm or 120 mm bottom brackets (for fat bikes)
- Chainrings in non-standard sizes: 34T or 50T
- DS103 display
If there is no kit matching your exact configuration, contact us to check if we can assemble one from available parts – or we can order a specific set for you.
This applies especially to throttles other than thumb (rarely ordered) and 42T or 50T chainrings.
You can also purchase optional components separately (extra charge, subject to availability). These are not required for the system to function:
